When we started planning the Watercolor show, we wanted to hold a show that encouraged students to feel comfortable, regardless of their experience. Sixty percent of the artwork in our show was completed by students in the last 3 years. The remaining art came from local area artists. This would have been a very difficult show to judge by a single judge or small panel. The work encompassed a wide array of subjects as well as styles and experience.
In addition to the winning pieces (voted on by the public), we also had a couple of sales, which are always a feather in the cap of any artist.
Congratulations to all of the artists who participated. It takes a bit of bravery and willingness to show your heart when putting art up for the public not only to see, but to judge!
And now, the results…
